Check out the ultra-hip Spotted Pig restaurant in the West Village next time you’re in New York. Their Chicken Liver Toast is a huge fan-favorite and definitely a unique feature on their menu. I, however, chose their “Chargrilled Burger with Roquefort Cheese & Shoestrings.” What I received was a huge pile of fries and a burger that would have tasted better with some lettuce and a few slices of tomato. The large beef patty was delicious, as was the Roquefort cheese placed in the burger, but it was missing a few key elements of taste that I would have preferred. The shoestring fries were great with flavors of rosemary and garlic–I’d be surprised if anyone could actually finish all of them in one sitting! All in all, the vibe of this place is cute and hipster-ish with a menu that is more high-end than expected when you walk in. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area!
