Tamarind, a Thai restaurant on South Street, was the “hot” spot last weekend. I quoted “hot” because they have a spicy level for their food. We dared to try their number 5 out of the 7 spicy levels, and let’s just say that we got slapped in the face by East Asia. The food was good and ethnic, just wish we had stocked up on wine with their BYOB option! I would recommend this place for dates or going out with friends because of their price (entrees go up to around $13), location (close to Penn’s Landing and all of the amazing South Street stores), and taste (loved their Tom Kah soup and Thai chicken curries). Word of advice- be a daredevil and try a 7 on their food!
