What is this Google Plus?

Can't wait to make similar circles haha

Google+ is taking over our lives. The thing is, most of us have no clue what it is and how it’s going to affect our everyday social networking. Should we be afraid? Should we be excited? The fact that it has Google’s name to back it up means that the potential is great to synchronize contacts and friends, but what’s the point of it? Facebook may have a new enemy but as we continue to be enthralled by new technology everyday, I wonder if we, as a generation, will ever reach a breaking point with all of this social media? How much privacy are we losing as we continue to join these new networks and what consequences will we face in the future? Time will tell, but until then, I’m signing up!

Will the creation of new social networks ever end!

The Weeknd <3

I recently came across the Weekend after a friend made me hunt down a song on his iPhone during a 5 hour roadtrip because it was his new “sex song”. I can admit it was love at first listen and appropriately judged as a perfect “sex song.” Toronto-based R&B singer Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd) melts your heart with his soulful crooning and realistic lyrics on drugs, sex and life. No bullshit, no sugar-coating or censoring- The Weeknd songs are as real and raw as you can get.

Arm & Hammer Challenge

Game on!

I’m a huge fan of challenges. Give me a task you think can’t be done, and I’ll at least attempt it. Just the competitive streak in me. So when I saw commercials for the Arm & Hammer Challenge, I had to try it out! It has baking soda in the toothpaste that (according to the commercial) can whiten your teeth better than anything. I bought a tube of Arm & Hammer Advance White yesterday from everyone’s favorite conglomerate Wal-Mart for $2.75. I then saw an attached $1 off coupon on the box and therefore got myself a pretty good deal for less than 2 bucks. I tried out the toothpaste for the first time and the first thing that came to mind is how bad the paste tasted! I was close to just spitting it out and finishing off with my Crest mint toothpaste sitting right next to the Arm & Hammer tube, but I continued onward (hey, it ain’t a challenge if it’s easy!). The consistency is a little different too as it’s thicker than most toothpastes and foams up more than usual. I stuck with it though, all the while thinking “Pain is Beauty, Pain is Beauty.” I’m going to stick with this challenge for the upcoming weeks because I have a good feeling that they’ll make my teeth whiter, but I might need to desensitize my taste buds first for the awful taste. Stay tuned for a results post in a few weeks!

Print me!

In an effort to stay away from last minute print/scan/fax jobs, I’ve just bought a printer from Amazon! I can’t wait until I move out and take all the cool electronics I’ve been saving up and add them to my amazing, hypothetical bachelorette pad in some hypothetically-fabulous city. I’ve been saving up paintings, coffee table books from Urban Outfitters, a Wii, etc. Now I can add this printer and hopefully a new MacBook Pro to the list! I mean my life as an amateur blogger and social media addict would sky rocket with a new MacBook! The possibilities are endless with my imagination, but let’s just hope I can turn these dreams into a reality soon. :)

Say hello to my little friend, Mr. Printer.

Elle Fanning is the new face of Marc Jacobs

At just 13 years old, Elle Fanning has become one of the youngest celebrities to represent a fashion label. She’ll follow her sister’s (Dakota) footsteps and become the new face of the diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs. Some people have taken this negatively saying that children younger than 16 shouldn’t be representing fashion because of the somewhat provocative nature of the business, but what do you all think? Read more about it here!
